There’s a new revelation in the case of fraud and theft in donations and offerings at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir Tirth Kshetra Trust has refused to give financial information to the district administration, referring to an SIT investigation in a letter from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

When the district administration asked the Ram Temple Trust for details about income and expenses, donations, bank accounts, land transactions, and property, following a letter written by Ayodhya’s local BJP leader Rajneesh Singh to the Prime Minister’s Office, the trust refused to provide the property details citing an ongoing investigation.

BJP leader Rajnish Singh had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding irregularities in the financial transactions, donations, and land dealings of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Rajnish Singh had asked the PMO to direct the temple trust to make public the details of its financial transactions and properties so far.

BJP leader complained to the PMO

Regarding the theft of offerings at the Ram temple, local BJP leader Dr. Rajnish Singh wrote to the Prime Minister’s Office twice. Rajnish Singh wrote to the Prime Minister’s Office for the first time on June 9.

They had demanded that the temple trust be directed to make public all financial transactions and property details from its inception to now. Later, for the second time, on June 12, they wrote another letter asking to make public the offerings to the Ram temple. On June 13, the SIT was formed.

PMO asked for the account of the trust’s donations

Noting the letter from the BJP leader, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) referred it to the district administration. The complaint received by the PMO was sent to the Ayodhya district administration. The district administration contacted the Shri Ram Temple Trust regarding this matter.

According to sources, in a letter written to Ayodhya’s ADM (Administration) Vishu Raja on June 23, ADM (Law and Order) Indrakant Dwivedi said that he had contacted Champat Rai of the Ram Temple Trust for the information requested in the complaint by the PMO.

Champat Rai didn’t give the account of the donation

According to Ayodhya ADM (Law and Order) Indrakant Dwivedi, Champat Rai refused to give any information, saying that the SIT investigation is currently ongoing and the investigation panel is collecting all the necessary records and information. That’s why the requested information cannot be provided right now.

In a complaint sent by BJP leader Rajneesh Singh to the PMO, there was a demand to make several pieces of information public. These included the funds collected through the ‘Samarpan Nidhi’ campaign, donations received through different methods, contributions in the form of gold, silver, and jewelry, bank accounts and financial transactions, buying and selling of land, expenses on temple construction and administration, and audit and inspection reports.
