51 thousand jammers, 88 thousand staff, entry will close half an hour earlier… this is the preparation for Re-NEET The RE-NEET exam will be conducted today in 551 cities across India, for which over 5,000 exam centers have been set up. Meanwhile, the exam will take place at 14 centers abroad. Over 2.2 million candidates are going to take part in this exam. The National Testing Agency is going to conduct the NEET UG 2026 exam across the country today, on June 21, with over 2.2 million candidates expected to participate. Strict security arrangements have been made nationwide for this exam and continuous monitoring is being carried out. To ensure there are no issues at the exam centers today, state governments had organized a mock drill on June 20. But before the exam, NTA has also issued guidelines for the students. What did the Education Minister say before the exam?
Talking about re-NEET, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that today the NEET-UG exam is going to be held again. I have complete faith in NTA, all state governments, district administrations, the Indian education sector, and especially in the students of India. Nearly 2.2 million students will take the NEET exam soon. He appealed to the students to take the exam without any fear or worry. You will definitely do well.
These are my best wishes for the students. He has faith in India’s system and will continue to do so. This unwavering trust should remain. The Union Minister further said that on this occasion, as a parent and a social worker, I request you please do not jeopardize the future of India’s new generation. No one should make fun of it. Let’s not do anything that affects the mental health of children. In just a few hours, the children will be taking the exam.
Tight security arrangements
It should be noted that for Re-NEET, 5,440 exam centers have been set up across 551 cities in India. Meanwhile, the exam will be conducted at 14 centers abroad. The exam will be in English as well as 12 Indian languages. More than 2.2 million candidates are expected to take part in the exam. According to NTA, the exam will be held in over 95,000 rooms, which will be monitored through 1,38,560 CCTV cameras.
51,311 jammers deployed
In addition, around 51,311 jammers have been deployed to prevent cheating through electronic means. Out of these, 17,054 jammers were provided by ECIL and 34,257 jammers by BEL. For identifying candidates, 38,798 frisking staff and 48,448 biometric verification personnel have been deployed.

6700 observers have been deployed
Two invigilators will be deployed in every exam hall. More than 10 additional exam staff have been assigned at each center. A Center Systems Officer (CSO) has also been appointed at all 5,440 centers who will resolve technical issues immediately. 40 to 50 security personnel have been deployed at every exam center.
NTA gave instructions to the students
Although the exam starts at 2 PM, NTA has advised students to arrive early. They said the gates will be closed by 1:30 PM and latecomers will not be allowed entry. Along with this, the agency has advised students to carry mandatory documents with them.

- Also, take two photos and ID proof like Aadhaar card, voter ID, passport, driving license, or PAN card with you.
