PM Modi to Islamabad? Pakistan’s Surprise SCO Summit Invitation Sparks Intense Speculation:- Pakistan has hinted that it may invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the 2027 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit to be held in Islamabad. A spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that as the host country, invitations will be sent under SCO protocol to the heads of state of all member countries, including India.

Pakistan has formally hinted that it will invite Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit to be held in Islamabad in 2027.
The spokesperson of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a media briefing that all member countries of the SCO will be invited to the conference. He clarified that it will include the heads of state and government of all member countries, which means India will also be among the invited countries.

The Pakistani spokesperson said that under the SCO’s process and protocol, it is the host country’s duty to invite all member countries.
During this time, questions were also asked about a possible meeting between India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar and Pakistan’s Foreign Minister in Manila during the ASEAN meetings. Pakistan’s spokesperson said that they are not aware of any such meeting request from India’s side.
